Neymar breaks down in tears after helping Selecao to late victory over Costa Rica

Neymar broke down in tears after helping fire Brazil to a crucial World Cup victory over Costa Rica on Friday.

The Selecao were drawing 0-0 heading into second-half injury-time and knew a draw would leave them facing a battle to scramble through the groups.

But Philippe Coutinho prodded in from six yards after Gabriel Jesus had directed a high ball into his path, before Neymar struck late to seal the points for the five-time World Cup winners.

The PSG star was left infuriated by rough tackling throughout the the first half, and was denied a penalty after the break as referee Bjorn Kuipers initially awarded a spot-kick before consulting VAR and going against his original decision.
