Napoli join Spurs in race for France defender Benjamin Pavard

Napoli are the latest club to express an interest in Tottenham target Benjamin Pavard.

The defender has caught the eye for France at the World Cup in Russia off the back of a strong season for Stuttgart.

The 22-year-old is already firmly on Tottenham’s radar, while Dortmund and RB Leipzig have watched him in action too.

Stuttgart have come out and stated that Pavard is not for sale this summer at any price.

But that has not, according to Corriere dello Sport, stopped Napoli joining the race for his signature

The Italian club are big fans of the centre-back, who can also operate at right-back when called upon.

A deal for Pavard may well be unlikely this summer, but Napoli are keen to lay foundations for any future bids.

Bayern Munich have also been reported to be plotting a move for Pavard next year.
