Mourinho confirms Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera will miss Wolves clash

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that both Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera are unavailable for Man United’s clash with Wolves.

Rojo is yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils this term after suffering a knee injury at the World Cup but the Argentinian is nearing a return to first-team action. While Rojo managed 55 minutes for United’s Under-23 side versus Reading, though, the defender will have to wait to return to Mourinho’s starting XI in the EPL after picking up another problem in training.

Mourinho will also be without the services of Herrera this weekend at Old Trafford as the Spaniard continues his recovery from an ankle injury picked up at the beginning of September.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Nemanja Matic are unavailable through suspension but United are boosted by the return of Phil Jones. Asked about United’s injury concerns, Mourinho said: ‘There are small things but nothing important.

‘At this moment, Marcos Rojo is not training with the team, but Herrera is in the final phase of his recovery. ‘Apart from them [and the suspended players], everyone is ready.’
