Mo Salah spotted in Egypt training ahead of World Cup clash with Uruguay

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was spotted at a training session with Egypt over the weekend as he steps up his recover from injury ahead of the World Cup. 

The 25-year-old damaged his shoulder after an awkward challenge from Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos as Liverpool were defeated in the Champions League final at the end of May. Salah has been working furiously to return to fitness and now looks set to be involved against Uruguay in Egypt’s Group A opener next Saturday. 

Thousands of supporters turned up to Cairo for an open training session as the Pharaohs prepare to head off to Russia.

Salah was in full training kit, though did not take part in the session and instead chatted to backroom staff.Although Salah was not involved, he has stepped up his recovery significantly and promised Egypt president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi he will be ready to face Uruguay. ‘I promise you, I will do my best to be ready for the World Cup and to achieve the Egyptian dream,’ Salah told El-Sisi at a farewell event.
