Mario Gotze urged to join Liverpool in January

It’s been a long time since Mario Gotze was being hailed for winning Germany the World Cup.

Gotze is now 26-years-old, and he’s struggling to reproduce his old form at Dortmund.

Gotze has only played twice for Borussia Dortmund this season. He seems firmly outside the first team, as the likes of Jadon Sancho and Christian Pulisic are preferred.

Gotze is under contract at BVB until 2020. However could the midfielder leave the Signal Iduna Stadium far sooner?

Kevin Grosskreutz, a former team mate of Gotze’s at Dortmund, has urged the midfielder to join Liverpool.

Unfortunately for Gotze, Liverpool doesn’t seem to be a good fit for him.

The Reds are already stocked with creative wide men who play in midfield.
