Man United fans urge club to re-sign Memphis Depay after Lyon hat-trick

Former Man United winger Memphis Depay scored a hat-trick for Lyon in their 3-2 win against Nice on Saturday that ensured they qualified for next season’s Champions League, and Red Devils fans have urged their club to re-sign the Dutchman.

The forward, rated at 25.2m pound by Transfermarket, has been in fine form for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, with his treble at the weekend taking his goal tally for the campaign to 22 in 51 appearances in all competitions, with a further 17 assists.

Meanwhile, United drew a blank in the FA Cup final as they were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea on Saturday, and Jose Mourinho may well be looking for upgrades on Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial in wide areas this summer

Man United supporters, who tore into one of their 28-year-old stars on Twitter after the defeat against the Blues, were quick to have their say on Depay’s latest display via social media, and while one said “bring him back”, another said “Depay was better than Sanchez”.
