Man City sign Dutch defender Philippe Sandler from PEC Zwolle

Man City have completed the signing of Dutch defender Philippe Sandler from PEC Zwolle.

The deal - which was agreed between the clubs in January - is reported to be worth 2.6m pounds, which is a record sale for the Dutch club.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Ajax before moving on to their Eredivisie rivals in 2016.

A Holland Under-20 international, he went on to make 30 appearances for PEC Zwolle, helping them to a ninth-place finish during the 2017-18 campaign.

Man City describe Sandler as 'a commanding presence at centre back, while also comfortable in a holding midfield role.'
