Liverpool hijacking Man United’s move for 40m pounds star could be the biggest steal of the summer

Liverpool are aiming to make a fresh start to their season after manager Jurgen Klopp brought in a number of exciting talents into the squad. The Reds signed the likes of Fabinho, Naby Keita, Shaqiri, and recently completed a world record deal for Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker for a reported fee of around 66.8m pounds.

Liverpool now possess the world’s most expensive goalkeeper and defender in their ranks. The Reds’ defensive frailties have drastically reduced since the arrival of Virgil Van Dijk in January.

But Jurgen Klopp is still interested in signing one more centre-back to partner the Dutchman. Dejan Lovren has been far too inconsistent in his performances and Klopp needs to replace him.

PSG centre-back Marquinhos is said to be available on the market. Man United are reportedly interested in signing the young central defender who has impressed for the French outfit. Klopp should hijack the move and steal the player for himself.
