Kane bags hattrick as England put six past Panama in their biggest-ever World Cup win

England have run out 6-1 winners over Panama in Group G of the 2018 World Cup finals today and captain Harry Kane scored a hattrick to go top of the tournament’s goalscoring charts, while Man City defender John Stones notched a brace and Jesse Lingard was also on target.

Panama, making their debut in the competition, scored a first-ever World Cup goal through 37-year-old defender Felipe Baloy, but it was no more than a consolation.

Gareth Southgate’s side are now through to the last-16 but face Belgium on Thursday to determine who will top the group.
