Harry Kane commits to Tottenham with new 6-year deal

England captain Harry Kane has signed a new 6-year contract with Tottenham, the EPL club have announced. 

The 24-year-old striker’s agreement sees him extend his stay with Spurs until 2026. 

Tottenham said on Twitter: “We are delighted to announce that HKane has signed a new six-year contract with the club, which runs until 2024.” 

Kane’s commitment is a welcome boost for Spurs, who made the announcement with footage of their new stadium. 

Tottenham are due to return to White Hart Lane next season, after a season as tenants at Wembley. 

Kane scored 30 goals in the recently completed EPL season, when Spurs finished third, and has passed 20 goals in each of the last four seasons. 

Meanwhile, Northern Irish international Jonny Evans signed for EPL side Leicester from relegated West Bromwich Albion for a reported fee of 3m pounds a fraction of the price they bid for him last year. 

The 30-year-old defender -- capped 70 times -- signed a 3 year contract with the 'Foxes' who were eager to buy him last year and offered 23m pounds for a player Leicester manager Claude Puel describes as a 'winner and a leader'.Evans -- who had been with West Brom for 3 years after joining from Man United for 8m pounds .
