Barcelona target 50m pounds Gundogan as replacement for Iniesta

Barcelona are lining up a big-money bid for Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

That's according to this Sun article, which says the German midfielder would cost Barca in excess of 50m pounds.

It is claimed that Gundogan is happy at City but would prefer to move to the Nou Camp if the opportunity arose.

The 27-year-old midfielder has 2 years left on his current City contract and the club could offer him a new deal in a bid to ward off Barca's interest.

Gundogan joined City 2 years ago for £20million and has since made 64 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals.

Meanwhile, a Don Balon report says Pep Guardiola is keen on signing Toni Kroos from Real Madrid.

It is claimed that Guardiola believes City's chances of landing the midfielder have increased because Jose Mourinho no longer wants him at United.

Guardiola is said to be a big fan of Kroos from his spell as Bayern Munich boss and the player is reportedly considering his future at the Bernabeu after 4 years with the club.
