Alisson and Firmino point finger at Van Dijk for Leicester goal

For the first time in Liverpool’s EPL history, the Reds have won their opening 4 matches of the season.

Saturday’s game at Leicester was tough. The Foxes put in a good performance against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Rachid Ghezzal got Leicester on the board in the 63rd minute, his goal came after an epic mistake from Liverpool goalie Alisson.

After the match Alisson and Roberto Firmino both were keen to draw Virgil Van Dijk into the mix for Leicester’s goal.

Alisson said:’ It was a mistake. I did not get a pass so good, we talked about it in the locker room, I talked to Virg (Van Dijk), it was not such a good pass, but I was also totally able to kick the ball away.’

‘Of course I will not be stupid to make the same mistake. We have to learn from the mistakes, but it’s part of my game. I will not be arrogant to say ‘I’ll keep doing (dribbles)’, we have to learn from mistakes. If necessary, the dribble will be my last resort.’

Roberto Firmino then backed up the Brazilian number one and said:’ The pass (from Van Dijk) was not all that either. Alisson tried to fix it, but unfortunately it went wrong. He has made an excellent start (to life at Liverpool).
