Adam Bogdan joins Hibernian on season-long loan

Adam Bogdan has left Liverpool to join Hibernian on loan, the club have confirmed.

Bogdan, who joined from Bolton Wanderers in 2015, has signed a year-long deal at Easter Road ahead of their Europa league qualifying campaign.

Hibs will face NSI Runavik from the Faroe Islands on July 12 in a bid to reach the second qualifying round.

The Hungarian international has been with the Reds since 2015, but has failed to dislodge either Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius between the sticks.

After joining Wanderers in 2007, he enjoyed a brief spell with Crewe Alexandra before establishing himself as the No.1 ahead of Jussi Jasskelaine.

Upon completing his free transfer to Anfield, he saved three penalties on his debut in a shootout victory against Carlisle United in the League Cup.
